Special Grama Sabha Held in Connection with World Environment Day

Ezhamkulam: As part of the observance of World Environment Day, a Special Grama Sabha was convened today at the Conference Hall of Ezhamkulam Grama Panchayat. The meeting was presided over by the Panchayat President, Mr. E.A. Latheef, and was attended by elected representatives, officials, and residents from various wards of the Panchayat.

The Grama Sabha discussed several important topics, including the significance of environmental conservation, green development initiatives, pre-monsoon cleaning activities, waste management, and the protection of water resources. The meeting emphasized the need to ensure active public participation in environmental protection efforts.

As part of the World Environment Day observance, the Grama Sabha called for strengthening activities such as tree planting, plastic-free campaigns, and community cleanliness drives.

The participants observed that environmental protection is the responsibility of every citizen and stressed the importance of working together to create a clean and green environment for future generations.

The Special Grama Sabha concluded with the adoption of resolutions on various development and environmental issues, followed by a vote of thanks.
