Ezhamkulam Grama Panchayat organizes pre-monsoon cleaning activities every year to prevent monsoon-related diseases and protect public health. Under the leadership of the Panchayat, ward-level cleaning, cleaning of canals and streams, removal of stagnant water, and mosquito control measures are carried out. Special emphasis is also given to sanitation activities in schools, places of worship, public institutions, and commercial establishments.
These activities are implemented with the cooperation of the Health Department, MGNREGS workers, Haritha Karma Sena, voluntary organizations, and local residents. Such efforts help in controlling monsoon-related diseases such as dengue fever and chikungunya. These initiatives play a vital role in maintaining Ezhamkulam as a clean, healthy, and socially responsible village.
